well... blew second waterpump (new not reman) in less than a year fri. coming home from work. Decide to put a temp guage & oil press. guage in and wow it seems to hang in around 200- 205 degree's under throttle and run about 180 idling. fan has no wobble but is very stiff to turn ...

Those temps are perfect.
Yup. You're right there where you need to be.

You are probably losing waterpumps because of casting sand in the water jacket. Look into a coolant filter if you want to eliminate the problem. Also, buy good pumps. You can get cheap remans and replace them constantly, or you can get a good Motorcraft, Napa, etc pump and not worry about it anymore. Just my .02

I second the coolant filter. #1 reason for failed waterpumps is sand/debri in the water. It eats up the seals.

the pumps I've are new napa ones.i'd driven somewhere around 10k after a flush and fill without sca's then the first pump puked then i learn that you had to sca's in. this time i got some orange 50/50 premixed made for deisel with sca's aready add (same price as the good orange prestone). I'm gonna look into a good quality coolant filter. thank's ya'll

I will third a filter, my 06 had a pretty ugly looking degas bottle before the filter went on, now its almost clean, filter has been on for just a shade over 10k miles

when you changed to the coolant with sca in it, did you flush your system really good, its important to do that so you get max life from the new coolant.

and yep your temps are in the right ball field. :D

if you do order from him, ask for the ALL the washers needed to attach it, mine and others where missing a few washers for the nuts.
other than that it goes on pretty easy.
