Right On about Dealer reputations ;tu

Again yer call, but.. unless you don't mind the most HORRIBLE traffic on the planet (I-10 in Metro LA).. from Huntington Beach, you could take I-405 North to I-5 North to Ca-58 East (Bakersfield), to Barstow Ca.. then I-40 East. :dunno

Only 20 miles (might seem like 100) of LA Craziness.. then purdy Clear sail'n. Faster.. in time, not to mention the :rant factors.;):D

Cool, thanks

I did some more vin checking and the odmeter is reading diff than the last report. last reported at 98*** around 2 years ago and now they are showing it at 90*** today. There saying it has to be some sort of mishap with the records. That makes me just want to run to the hills but like an idiot i got excited and put a down payment on it. May just have to chew the plane ticket and payment and learn from the experiance.

If this is true, a lawyer should be able to get your down payment back. It might charge you $500.00 but it would be worth it. Just My 2cents.

Well it sucks to say that i dont think i will be buying this truck now. The dealer tried telling me "well if it stayed true to its average mileage it would only have like 125***" OKAY, Now you make it seem like you know its not the real mileage. So then i ask if we could do anything about the down payment and he said... in a not so nice tone." Well you should have done all of this searchin before, no refund" I know i should have but i guess there are nicer ways of telling someone that. After reading a lot of reviews about Huntington beach ford im not sure i want to do business with them anyways. They have proven there reputation.

I am going to look into the deposit some more and see. But i did sign a piece of paper so they may have me. S.O.B

Just tell them that your going to report them to fords legal dept. on the speedo being changed and them not giving you back your money.

where are you getting the evidence of odometer rollback? Did they advertize it with a clean title? If the evidence is reputable then report the odometer fraud to the state they will badge the title with odometer fraud eliminating the clear title the dealer claims to have.

X3.. Cali has some real good Consumer Protection laws when it comes to "Car Deals"... you have some time to..... Back Out & Walk Away.

It seems you have the "Ammo" to make that happen, IMO.

That could be a court issue with the down payment. I sold cars for nearly 3 years and gave every person there money back that backed out of a deal for any reason. I'm in az so maybe laws different but super commi cali im sure would have like wise or worse laws regarding that. Look at the paper you signed unless it says your deposit is non refundable you should get your money back on the grounds you never took delivery of the vehicle. Nothing matters by law unless you take delivery of vehicle and still many state the the right of reprieve (hope i spelled right) which gives you a certain time frame you came take vehicle back and get money back regardless. Most of the time the only way a deposite is non refundable is when it is a special order vehicle from factory. It may be a lot but I hope something in there helps ya!!! :rant

Send a certified, return receipt letter to them indicating the problems found and requesting a refund. This will serve as official legal documentation that you have requested your money.
