Hey all, I got my first diesel truck about 6 months ago. A 2001 7.3L Excursion with 114K miles. I love the big red beast! My wife complains about the smell, the noise and how big it is. But, get a little snow on the ground and guess who wants to drive "Fat Girl" 
She already had Tranny temp, EGT and boost gauges.
In the six months that I've had her, I've done the following:
New 3X torque converter and confirmed it is a HD model tranny, added a transmission cooler; but flushed all the fluid first. New intercooler boots, DIY intake, gaterback belts with the proper top rad hose and a fumoto valve. Added the 203* thermostat and billet neck. I even did the foil delete (what a PITA). But, it's worth it to hear the turbo whistle
The best move was to swap out the springs for V's in the front and modified B's in the back. Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks all around and front steering stablizer. Even added the 2008 aluminum rear diff cover.
Whew, my budget needs to recover! More planned in summer, but for now its more reading and planning.
