i went and drove a 2011 f150 and a f250 on friday...

that f150 sure is nice...

did you feel like the motor wouldnt really "open up"? seems like it never just would really "get it" as for the interior...holy smokes...really nice...except for that UGLY light wood grain...the only way you can get the darker wood is if you get a king ranch...which i really dont need/want.

Let us know how you end up liking it...im really torn between that and the superduty. if the bed werent so darn small and that ugly woodgrain, i think id be ok moving to an f150

yea, but i wont miss paying $0.40 more fuel. the motor is fine, but the truck is starting to "wear." its getting to the point of get rid of it while it still has value or keep it until it falls apart.

Jourdan, which 150 did you drive? The 5 1/2 ft bed is really short if you need to haul anything long. I miss the 6 1/2 ft bed on my diesel (of course I miss the bigger truck too), and if I were to get another 150 Crew Cab, it will probably be with the 6 1/2 ft bed. The current 150 Crew Cab actually has about 3 inches more rear seat leg room than the Super Duty Crew Cab. I wouldn't want a Super Cab because of the limited space in the rear seat.

I drove the crew cab with the 5 1/2 ft bed. No doubt the cab is bigger, and I love the space in the back seat. Club cab is not an option for me and there's no way I would get the one with the long bed with the crew cab...just doesnt look right.

As far as the whole hauling thing goes...do i haul big stuff on a regular basis? No. But when I do, would a dinky 5 1/2 bed do the trick? Really hard to say...My problem is...by the time you put a tool box in there, you dont have a whole lot left...

Yes, those super cabs with the long 8 ft bed look really strange. Of course they don't sell many of them. In fact, the only way to get a s/c 8 ft is with the 7700 GVW Package which includes the 7 lug wheels. That package actually makes the truck a "light duty 250". When Ford first came out with that package, the truck was actually badged as F-250 but they moved the package to the 150 later, I'm assuming to avoid any confusion with the F-250 Super Duty. The 6 1/2 ft. bed on the crew cab also looks a bit strange considering everyone is accustomed to seeing the 5 1/2 ft beds on them. Also with the 5 1/2 ft bed, you can get the extra piece that folds out onto the tailgate to artificially increase the bed length. I've also considered putting a tool box in my 150 but it would take a bit of the floor space. I had an inbed tool box in my 250 which made the floor less than 6 ft. long.
