i know, i know, there are a lot of you out there that dont like anything Banks.

and i can respect that. But want some input anyways. i really like my banks, and benn wondering when they would come out with an air induction system. (i.e., AFE, K&N, S&B, Air-Raid, and so on)

well, they just introduced theirs for the 6.0 engines.

it looks alot like the AFE stage II system. banks states that their filter is an 8 ply, where as the AFE progaurd is 7.

the pricing is over 400.00, just like the AFE stage II.

what do yall think about banks new system?

looks good to me. i have been doing research on banks products and personally i don`t see anything wrong with them. when money allows, i will be installing some bank products on my ride. also, if there products weren`t up to par, don`t you think they would be out of business by know.

Just my observation

If you have a Ford dealer like we have, any modification will void the warrentee. I know that they are not supposed to do it, but they will and let the lawyers settle the issue.
By reading this web site and others, I have seen more engine failures with banks systems than other systems. That could be because they have more systems out there, I do not know. Might be a lot of other reasons. Banks has been doing turbo's for a long time, and has sold many systems. If you are already using banks products, and have not had any problems, then installing the intake sounds like a good idea. Before I spent $400 I would want to see some dyno sheets on how much hp the air intake system made above stock. If it was significant, then it might be worth it.
Good luck

well, i do already have a banks big hoss bundle, and it has been a great product.

i currently have a K&N gen 2 filter, have had it for about 2 years, and just ready to make a change.

banks claims 39addtional HP, but they do say, that is with a tuner and air flow improvements, such as IC, bigger boost tubes, big ram-air intake, and bigger exhaust.

it will either be the new banks system or the AFE stage 2 with progaurd filter.

Bama, I am interested in the banks bundle system, never heard bad about Banks but wouldn't remove the factory intake. How many miles do you have on your aftermarket intake? When You open the intake system, is there any dust at all? The thing that most impresses me about the Donaldson system is the absolute lack of any dust whatsoever in the intake on my engine after 43000.

I dont think banks would make make a bad set up. Therefore prolly worth it. Have you cut out the intake hole in your grill? Not sure if that helps much, afraid it'll suck in water.

I had over 150,000 miles on my K&N F.I.P.K 2 and never saw dust inside the intake tube. Even tried the white cotton rag swipe a few times and it was very clean, the was some dirt, but that to be expected with any filter system. Especially being in construction business.
