all I ate was what I could grill.

I bought brats, chicken tenders (pre-cut chicken breasts), tip pan steaks, taters and frooze em all till it was time to eat. a guy who sold omaha steaks told me never to thaw meat because thats were you loose flavor. so on to the grill with plenty of whatever seasoning I felt like that day (to kill the monotony).

oh and plenty of tombstones, and beer to fill the spaces. I believe that you can eat what you want just as long as you can work out just as much.

not to steer this off topic too far, but chef boyardee cans get heated perfectly after a 30 minute drive if you put them in the valley on the engine.

Please God tell me you are serious. No joke. If you can do this without the cans exploding than i wont have to go home for lunch.

Poke a couple holes in the top of hte can and then wrap tinfoil around (to prevent splattering as the liquid heats up). I can vouch that this is a good field-expedient way to heat food up.:thumbs

from one single guy to another-

as tempting as toss in and nuke is, do you body a favor and try to keep on your veggies. prebagged salads are easy. buy whatever is on sale. stay away from creamy dressings. i now get 4 packs of romaine lettuce and make up a small salad as needed. chop chop chop...

canned corn does not count. neither does fried onion rings.

rice is good for you too. you can make that too in the crock pot.

go to the library and get a copy of carla emory's encyclopedia of country living. lots of eazy fixins in there.

The grill is your friend. Try some fresh salmon filet marinated in pineapple salsa. Just throw it in a bag with the salsa, let it sit for 2-3 hours, and grill it on a cedar plank. Or some skirt [diaphragm] steak, plain or marinated in olive oil, little vinegar and oregano, and throw on grill. My wife is a great cook, but I love to grill. Its not hard to cook, just gotta be patient. Buy a basic grill cook book and have at it. And good luck!
