Of all the tuners availiabe for the 6.0 primarily model year 2005 and 2006.
which ones fix the dangerous dead throttle,( in traffic it stops you let off throttle all drops to idle, you mash pedal to go when you change lanes and she says.... wait... then BAM i am gone)
and keep the tq conv locked when you let off said throttle like in my 7.3

I miss the way my 7.3 with the predator ran.

Thanks
Robert

You are describing your torque-convertor tranny....

someone suggested this to me and it works...
how about tapping the tow haul when u know u need to react quickly....

as far as from a stop....
a little brake stand to about 1000 to 1500 rpms and jack rabbits don't stand a chance :)

Next time you're in the area come on over and Black_Mamba and I can show you two versions of the other solution.....
would u believe 1.8 to 1.9 60 foot times ?

Yep
standing start i have learned to roll into the take off and she goes like hell

but the tq converter unlocking at every little release of the trhottle has got to go

the only time it stays somewhat engaged is the coast down the mountain each morning it holds me at 65 all the way down the 600 plus foot drop

but in traffic if i let off the pedal and not hit the brakes, then mash it again to go, i can almost count to 2 before she re-engages and GOes

my 7.3 the tq stayed locked down to 35, even if the brakes were tapped.
the predator had some great programing,
I am just to leary now of voiding my warranty
to much at stake right now,

Robert, we both may have to make a stop in around Dallas and get Black_Mamba And JohnboyToo to work on these 6.0s I can't afford to get my warranty voided.

Bring them here anytime now that I have a normal life again since going to work for Ingersal_Rand Corporate. I'll steer you more towards the Bully Dog setup cause if you seen it in action againest the SCT w/ about the same setup as I got. It will blow the doors off of the SCT even with the defuel set at 1250F also with crappy all-terrian tires. Now if I could get some slicks on her that might be a different story. But back to the Bully Dog. It smokes very little for me in the extreme setting and have not any concerns or problems with Bully Dog. I have had it on my truck for a good 10,000 miles. HARD miles with no concerns other than of course rear tire wear.:thumbs Now if you are looking for power and mileage I suggest leaving the kitty kat on cause I got about 19.5 mpg with it on but if you are like me and want noise along with power take it out. I still get about 18 mpg w/out it. I myself am not worried about mpg cause I don't drive the truck but about 200 miles a month now that I changed jobs and I have a company vehicle to drive everyday. But if you are interested in the Bully Dog Triple Dog go with the Triple Threat Max Package from Cyclone Diesel. Chris Russman is a really great guy to work with and he still can't believe the girl is running the numbers she is with that setup. Tell him Ben (Big Blue) sent you to him. I get nothing from it but a thank you. Would like to get a trans out of it personally:D .

I am pretty sure only 200 miles a month is considered neglect and truck abuse. I may need to come over and drive it some so she still feels loved:D

not sure if we need the extreme package, We tow 14700 alot.
the tow load with 40-50 hp gain, plus some real world tq converter lock, would do very nice

we turned 9100 miles this weekend,
thanks for the info, we defintiley will drop by next trip out to tejas

Powrboater....
I take exception to Ben's saying he ran circles around me....
yep - he beat me, but not by a LOT :)

And considering that I have an SCT tuner ONLY
and he has intake, exhaust, and the whole package :)

And I have an Excursion and he has a lighter Superduty:)

And I am old and fat and he is young and in shape :)

I'm at a definite weight disadvantage :)
*********************************************

I still have not got the tunes dialed in because the 05's Excursions must have a somewhat unique PCM and the tuners are trying to sneak up on some performance without damage :)

I can say this... the SCT TC lockup is the neatest thing...

I really like the feeling of pushing to about half or 3/4 throttle and no downshift, just SERIOUS push as you motor on past the roadblock :)

like I say - next time in the area, give me a shout and I'll show you...

thats what i miss about my predator,
just squeeeze the throttle and feel the torque jsut plant your tail and GO
the tq unlocking at every throttle let off is a real PITA,
sct, i will go read about them.

maybe they made the ex pcm tuning more CARLIKE and boulevard shifty so it would drive more like the way a . dare i say... a woman  would like like. it was after all marketed towards soccer moms who pull boats and kids.

around here i bet almost all the ex's i see are driven by women with five or so kids and a big dog
so that probably why the tuning is so odd.
not saying only girls drive ex's its just the marketing thing
anyway
thanks for the insight on the sct tuner
i shall go read
this morning i am knee deep in document verification and my eyes are about to pop
is the picture the tuner or am i looking at the wrong banana
