Please Help! I have a 2000 E350 PSD with 65,000 on the engine, 135,000 on the van. It acts like it has a "miss"? The CPS has just been replaced, and the injector control module. Niether are the problem. Has anyone had any issue simular? Thanks. Jim

It is quite possible that you may have the "mysterious injector harness clips coming loose problem". The older style harness, which has now been upgraded, would loosen up and make the 7.3 run like it was on 6 cylinders. This happened to me about 250 miles from home on a Sunday, and it was a VVEERRYYYYYYYY long ride. I was lucky it was 1 month before my warranty was up.

If I was a bettin' man, I would say this might be it. The harness is under the valve cover. Obviously, go ahead and replace both sides clips.

So I am guessing wire clips under the valve covers? Clips the wires to the injectors? Thanks. Jim

My local dealership has had it for over 2 weeks now and couldnt locate the problem. It started as the CPS. Then it went to the ICM. They were still scratching thier heads?

Sounds like they were just throwing parts at it. Unfortunately, on your dime.

Sometimes when you first start it up. Sometimes after driving it a while. It becomes severe. It wont hardly drive down the road. When its severe it sounds like a helicopter at the exhaust.

The only code found was for a CPS that I replaced the day before. I disconnected my batteries for about 45minutes. And took it to the dealer after that didnt fix it. They found the code after that. I removed my computer chip as I know it will cause a code. When acting up I cant get it to 55 or 75.

I am being told by the dealer that the wiring harness problem was in the early 6.0 not the 7.3? Some one mentioned a second fuel filter? IS there more than 1? I just replaced mine on top the engine. I do it every 12,500.
