Obviously new to this site and also new to diesels. I bought myself a L99 7.3 ccsd sb 260k pretty much stock except it has a level kit and sitting on 37x12.5 xR20. Next week I will be putting rough country dual shock set up on the front along with the dual steering stabilizer.

Good point Tman123. Go to Quick Links, above in the Blue Line and click on "Edit Signature" so we all will know what you drive.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. When it comes to diesels I am very lost. The more I read on the different forums there seems to be plenty of knowledgeable individuals. I have see there are lots of passionate diesel owners out there for the sport. Since I bought the truck in january I have done two oil changes and a fuel filter. I have went to dual shocks in the front and a dual steering stabilizer. I have also had the front axle/hub seals replaced. I am enjoying the experience of owning a diesel so far but damn these things can get expensive!

Yes the maintenance can run up. If you do the oil and filters, there is not a lot more you need to do to the motor. Don't cheap out on these parts, diesels are stout motors and they require stout parts. Get good oil filters, like Motorcraft.

Yes Dave I have the local ford dealership do all maintenance so everything that has been done has been motorcraft so far. I learned my lesson with that during the winter when my glow plug relay went out and I bought a cheap relay. Needless to I have replaced the cheap one with a motorcraft one.
