Okay, I got the dreaded EGR related DTCs today. Just ticked over 40K on the clock.
I've read about servicing and deleting the EGR altogether. I'm planning to keep everything stock for a long while.
As such, is this something I should plan to service on my own or would it be covered under the factory warranty? I'm pretty sure I could do it, but then again if it's a warranty issue I'd rather let them do it at the blue oval store.
I had the local parts store pull and clear the codes as my OBD II scanner couldn't seem to communicate. I've got an actron, but it was a no go.
The DTC didn't come back on the way home, but I suspect the egr is dirty and the codes are coming back.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
