well, I meant to do this..
but the batteries in ALL THREE of my meters are dead...

so I changed the glow plugs...

because I didn't feel like running to the store in a truck that may not restart...
cause lemme tell ya something..
it was 29 deg out yesterday morning, and it STILL put up a fuss and took five minutes of glowing & cranking to convince it to run...

I'll still do it, but I'll have to do it tonight...

so both new batteries load tested good, charged to about 14.5 volts. Oh, and all terminals cleaned, no obvious corrosion.

Same results, only now it sounds like it really likes to hear itself get cranked:D

Oil pressure is about the only thing I havent checked, can i remove the EOP sensor to do that? I dont have a fancy reader, and I dont think autozone has one for our trucks-and they may not want me walking down the road with it...:sly

read on here somewhere that icp sensor may be cause...I disconnected it, thread stated that the computer will find other ways to read icp if you disconnect it, no luck there either.

IPR is where I am putting my money. Went to Stealership and talked to their diesel tech, and he came to same conclusion. That or HPOP, but he seemed to think that would throw a code. Interesting though he said that the dash OP gauge only indicates >5PSI or <5PSI, that accurate?

what we want to find, is how much voltage is LOST across a connection or component..

so let's check the voltage across the positive cable between the two batteries..
we're going to check between here

and here
P1010049.jpg

we lost .01 v on the cable..
not bad
