Its subtle, but I'm thinking you have a Cobra? Now, is this a real Cobra or the Mustang version? SVT's version, or a Shelby?

see sig for pics :) 2003 SVT Mustang Cobra convertable. I wish i had the 'real' cobra.... hell i would settle for the Factory Five Cobra ;)

and FWIW, at the time i was towing my Saleen (basicly a 97 GT) not the cobra.

Cool. I have an 03 Mach 1, can't wait for the GT500. I can't wait to see the sticker, either. :sweet

Once your truck is broken in, the mileage will improve substantially. Everything is still "tight" right now, so don't be surprised if your mileage is less than what is described here. I have much the same truck as you, but with a crew cab, an automatic and 28 gallon tank. My distance from full to empty on regular driving is about 480 miles. Highway driving makes for better economy with the TorqueShift transmission. Even towing 9000 pounds, my mileage dropped only to 13 mpg at 65-70 mph over flat to slightly rolling terrain.

The first one sold at Barrett-Jackson for $648,000, IIRC.

I'm still waiting for the magic 15K-20K mark ...
took the TH out last weekend ~12K, thru mostly coastal hills and averaged 7-8mpg...but the torque was the real :D maker.
it does get a little better on the flats 8-10mpg, with the best in Oregon of 11-12mpg.

unloaded cruising ave is 17-18 :D

C'mon Robert, I do live in the hill country, elevation according to my GPS is 238 feet ASL. Just up the road is the highest point in Florida at 345 feet. It doesn't get FLAT until the other side of Tallahassee or Pensacola. :D

There is a Mustang GT 500 in the works. Sticker from $50,000 to $60,000 from what I have been told.

If I could dump $50k into my 92 Coupe, few $50k cars could keep up. The 2007 Shelby Cobra GT 500 (if that's what they decided to call it ) is a sweet ride and I believe that it did make it into production with HP numbers promised. Also, th efirst production model of the 2007 Shelby Cobra GT 500 Mustang sold at the B-J auction for $648k.   talk about ROI.
