Well, for whomever saw my post on my brothers Dodge. Here is a kudos for Ford versus a Dodge. My brother called again later in the evening, he picked up the trailer, hooked it up, had flashers, turn signals, but no running lights. I looked in my manual and told him that on our fords, there is a fuse for each. He finally, (again, you have to know my brother), looked in his manual and found the same. About 1 hour later, I was outside reviewing the flash patterns on my new Federal Signal Light Bar I got early for Christmas, when He pulled up, he could not get the cover off. The main panel for fuses is under the hood on the Dodge. The problem is it is on the drivers side, next to the battery, its about 1' long running from the top of the fender down. It hinges on the top side, now the problem, there are battery cables running along the bottom side. (which you have to stretch out of the way to get the cover off or back). Now, if that was not problem enough, he has had a plow installed, apparently its the only area available to install all the cabling, and the control box for that, (or so he was told), needless to say, it was a pain in the butt and we ended up breaking off the tabs on the cover on the reinstall. What a stupid design. Should have hinged on the bottom, but what do I know. Luckily, there is enough room on the top to drill a hole in both, install a carrage bolt with a nut to keep it in place and a wing nut on the cover.
Thank God our fuse panels are where they are. What a stupid design Dodge has.
