First day on the forum.
Last Friday I ordered a 2006 F350 4x4 S/C Manual Trans. I should get it around May 1st. What can I expect for fuel mileage empty? Anyone with a recommendation on a chip for low 2000-2300 rpm power?
Thanks

Congrats on the purchase... you'll be happy with the truck... I can't tell ya anything about the mileage, because I drive an automatic PSD van... but I just got my SCT Xcalibrator 2 and I've had to change my shorts twice already today:burnit

I'd go with either bullydog or edge in your case, so you can change it on the fly, plus they're really good (atleast the edge is from experience)

you should expect crappy mileage for a while, but once i got 5k miles on mine i was getting around 15-20

Thanks

Thanks for the information. I talked to a guy who installed the Superchip and he said that his truck ran very badly. He then went to the Edge and now he thinks it is great. He said that the edge increased power, but did not increase mileage. He felt that the power increase was worth the cost of the Edge.

I just wanna mention, the edge deserves two thumbs up in my book, im not going for every single MPG that i can squeeze out of the truck, I'm just looking for a convienent programmer that will give that extra kick (and shift on the fly is a HUGE help)

So I'm lovin' it :sweet
