I'm stuck in town tonite so I can get to work to plow in the morning. We're suppost to get 20 inches today and friday. Last weekend we had over a foot but now we are going to get winds over 35 mph. There are state and county trucks in the ditchs all over around here.

This storm is following a worst case pattern for us as far as wind direction coming off the lake and system moisture coming up from the south. They're talking 18" system snow coming down at 3" per hour with more lake effect after that. At least it shouldn't last continuously for weeks on end like it did for the folks in upstate NY.

And I got the shop packed full of equipment yesterday, so it's tear stuff apart all day, and watch the snow come down out the window. :snow

I did have one service call this afternoon, (on a BIG Cummins/ Kohler generator) the Windstar almost didn't make it there, I had snow flying over the windshield quite a bit. :D

Boy do I miss my truck...:boohoo

It's 5 AM and I made it back to work. I don't think we got the 18 to 20 that they said we would get but its still snowing and blowing out. We had freezeing rain first before it started to snow so it should be entertaining out in the country plowing.

Talked to my folks up in the north country last night and they said it was (and had been) coming down hard and steady for two days. I think they had approx 12-14 and were expecting at least 6-9 more by this morning.

snow,,, I see snow...

If you look in the background, you can see snow on Mount Shasta. I just took this picture this morning at 9:50 a.m. It is about 85 miles north of us.
