For the last part of last week and again this morning, there has been a real horses backside in my normal traffic flow going to work. rides my butt, waves unsportsman like gestures, weaves in and out of traffic, seems to be late every morning i see him
I think hes jealous of the dually,

so when he sideswiped someone, and had to wait for the police, was it wrong for me to walk up and laugh at him, :D , then proceed to give the policeman a nice accounting of his behavior :dunno
I am begining to think the VA was right , laughing ealry in the morning does make you feel better
i see its going to be a glorious Day :D :thumbs

Laughing is encouraged. Also, pulling over and telling him what a moron he is is acceptable. I like when someone goes by at about 90, then is pulled over shortly ahead, to slow down and beep with a thumbs up. :thumbs

You gotta tell us what this fine individual had to say when you gave your input on the situation to the officer.

I applaud you for doing so. Yes it had risks but he puts every other driver at risk every day. Maybe the cop was smart enough to give the guy a good dressing down once he was alone. Maybe tilting at windmills with his type but worth noting to the officer regardless.

I, too, like to honk and wave at some jerk that flew past me only to shortly thereafter get pulled over. Someone I know allegedly got pulled over himself for doing that though. Cop said "it wasnt necessary". Not sure I believe it though.

Good for you....I've had a few experiences where I considered doing the same and one where some asshat like you mentioned caused a ginormous accident. I thought about confronting the guy but got hung up with a crowd of like-minded witnesses discussing whether or not someone should. By the time the trooper got to us for a statement, the dude was already hooked up and being forced into the back of a cruiser in the fetal position. The trooper said something like, "Unless y'all have something to contribute like the guy's a model citizen, you're all free to go."

That guy was one in a million where I live, and I'm always reminded how fortunate I am to live in an area where people are painfully polite and considerate on the roadways. About twice a month the traffic signals go down in congested areas and traffic seems to flow better than when they're working. The delays are caused by people refusing to proceed when it's their turn and insisting others go first.

Last July, a new road rage law went into effect in Indiana....a ticket and mandatory court appearance and fine if the cops see you fingering, doing some hot horn-blowing, or yelling out your window at someone. This law was a result of a couple of road rage incidents resulting in shoot-outs up in the Gary and Indianapolis areas. We hear the law has been frequently applied and enforced up there but that stuff doesn't happen where I live.

Life is pretty sweet in Flyover Country.:sweet
