Interchanging parts between bypass filters???

Can I? Say use the easy installation parts from the oilguard filter with the FS2500? I like what I've seen and heard of the 2500 but the simple installation of the oil guard is tempting

Also, if I went with the oilguard only, is the factory oil filter removed or left in place when you replace the filter cover with the oilguard part?

Seems like it would be a little expensive using parts from both, but it might work. The Factory filter stays in place, you only change the top with the Oilguard.

You may need to adjust the oil flow, depending on how much different they are in flow restriction. Try it and see,
