if you remove the intake (near the egr) to clean in it is thier a gasket needed to reinstall it??

their is an intake near the egr valve, that, on some higher mileage 6.0's you would remove this and clean carbon along with the egr valve,
was reading it in diesel something or other on egr valve cleaning.
