ok well as most of you may remember ive had a skip i cant find since i put this engine in.now im haveing a fuel pressure problem.it will start loseing power and smoking.the more power it loses the blacker the smoke.itll do that till it wont run and dies.fuel pressure gauge says 0PSI.crack the fuel line loose and youll get sprayed with fuel.shut it off for about 10 minutes the fuel pressure will slowly come back up and it will restart but binds like the timing is too far advanced.and all through its tantrum it knocks and pings like a mutha.

think i have an injector or 2 sticking open?bad idm or wiring??

usually when an injector sticks open it will get airbound, perhaps there is a broken tip or something like that.....did you try unplugging one at a atime to find the problem child?

If an injector was stuck open, your truck would not stat due to loss of high pressure oil.
I would suspect the actual electric fuel pump. They are just not as reliable as the stock mechanical.
Next time you drop to zero psi, jump under the truck (providing its parked) and feel the pump, is it running? If the truck dies you may have to jump the oil pressure sensor to make sure there is power feeding to the pump.
They ain't cheap so some diag time is well spent.
Fuel filter ok?
