My truck is a little rough on the first start of the day if its a cool morning (under 50*F) and its just the nature of a cold diesel. But if you want I would go and spend the money to have a contribution test done on the injectors before I spent the money on a new set of injectors. If the contribution test comes back showing that you need to replace a couple I would just go with the Ford remans if you are not going to supe it up. I would be sitting down when they give you the price.:innocent

New bosh injectors $300 each(Canadian$$) 6hrs. I just did a test and #6 glow plug is shot and #4 injector is on its way out. I am a HD lic mechanic but I dont want to even change my own oil (ya ya i know). I don't twist a wrench any more.....well kina still...I own a motorcycle shop now.I just wnated some feed back on stuff about my truck. I got it last week. I just did a ton of work on it already. New 4inch with 5inch tip(the cat was fu@#$) so I changed out the whole thing. Striped off the clear on the wheels the sent them out to get polished WOW. New Toyo tires,re cover on the driver seat(leather) all new center caps,2 days of cleaning and scrubbing. Im a bit of a perfectionist so I think im going a bit over board here but I really like my new truck, sorry used truck. I always like the look of a dually ford. I have had alot of dodge dually trucks in the past. Up here they go for a ton off cash and I just didn't want another one. So now I have a Ford dually I always wanted. Well kinda who can aford a new one @ 70K up here!! I will be into her for around 18K by the time Im done. Wish me luck

They are not cheap I had two replaced last fall as well as the FICM to the tune of $2100. This year my EGR fell off (cough cough) and so did the muffler and Cat. So much for telling my wife that I wont spend much money on the truck this year.:sly

You had better get your truck scanned before you go throwing money at it. Your FICM may be going south. Mine had the same symptoms as your truck, and the FICM needed to be replaced and programmed for the truck and all is good now.

What were the codes given by the scan. They will tell you or point in a direction of what is wrong with your truck. The DTS codes are given in the WIKI Technical Articles Section on the top BLUE LINE above.
