1. If your going to change it after work and its 38F outside
Despite the wind howling and two pairs of gloves, the HOT oil coming out of the drain plug will make you do the HOT wax dance, as it runs down your arm

2. Place the fresh oil in a warm place at least 8 hrs before you need to pour it in the engine. Frozen oil pours very very slow,

3. If your going to buy the 2 1/2 gallons containers of oil. DONT miss the funnel -mad , that first GLOB can really go far

4. USE a flashlight to look for tools BEFORE you back off the ramps. My one inch wrench now has a nice "U" shape

5. IF its friggin cold out....... dont rush, you will only end up repeating several steps.

Robert, do you have the fumoto drain valve? That might prevent the hot oil from running down your arm! :sweet

how much oil does the 6.0 psd take? I am only at 2,550 miles on mine so I haven't changed the oil yet.

The manual says 16 qts, but most find 14 qts and check it before you add more. Do Not Overfill.

I was just wondering (and maybe this is a stupid question), But can this be added without affecting the warranty. I have my F250 psd on order, and I would like to put in one of these valves at the first oil change.

I don't see how it'd affect the warranty, it's just a different plug holding the oil in.

And if that was a dumb question, then I guess I've asked quite a few of them on this forum. Keeps the smart guys feeling smart. :roflmao
