idle rpms

I've got 2 questions. What rpm should my truck be at idle in cold weather at start up? Also how often should I change fuel filters? I don't tow anything.

When mine first cranks, even with the remote starter it's in the 750 rpm range ???? - not sure,
but after it idles for a bit when real cold
(to us Texicans, 30 is cold )
it will idle itself up to about 1200 until warm...
