how much oil do you consume?

I'm just wondering why some would burn or loose oil while others don't.

Thats just the nature of the beast.

• Driving style
• maintenance procedures (especially oil, oil filtration and air filtration quality)
• how the engine was broke in
• has the engine ever been hot
• etc etc etc...

ok, just curious first thing i did was make sure i didnt have the dipstick that matched the one that read 2 qts low. overall i dont normally burn oil, only when the engine is very cold and when i dont plug it in below 40. it will smoke a little and smells a little oily. after warm no smoke at all. probably going to do glow plugs in a little bit.

Mine is usually on the add mark when it is time to change it at 5000 miles. I think once my engine gets broke in the consumption should decrease

Mine consumes a gallon of oil every 15-19 miles...

You guys suck....mine uses 2-4qts per 5K. I've got 125K on the clock but have been dusted from my old AirAid intake coupler that was too small and letting the hose work loose. Then I realized the filter was pin holed.
