On my 2002 F-350/PSD/ZF6/PSD/CC/SWB that I bought new in Jan '02

1) 45K--Last October I replaced the OEM Firestones still had some tread, but were getting kind of squirrely and I didn't want to run through another winter on 'em

2) 49K

3) When I had my speedo re-cal'd at 45K to account for the 285's I had installed, the technician at the dealer dropped my clutch while he had the tranny out to swap the throwout bearing so they put in a new one for free. :thumbs

4 & 5) I'm still running OEM brakes and hubs

For batteries--I'm at 49K now and I'll run the stockers until this Sept/Oct but they're getting replaced before the winter sets in.

Is there somethin I should know about my speedo and tire combo?? I've been running 285's to 305's since 14k MILES  Obviously I now have a few more miles (169k) Thanks

You're actually a bit over 169K miles since for equal numbers of revolutions, the 285/305's will travel farther than a stock 265. My speedometer was ~4 mph off in the time between getting the new tires and having the 'puter recalibrated.

With the error due to tire size you would have another 10,000-15,000 miles in 169,000 miles. It all depends on if most of your driving is around town at lower speeds where the error is less or at higher speeds where the error would be more. With 315's on our X the speedo is off about 5mph at 60 but only like 2mph at 30 and at 15 it is very close.
