How do I tighten the bolt that holds....

my rear bench seat. I can get to the front one it accepts a star type wrench, but I can't see how I can get to the rear one. My seat flips down but does not slide forward..I'm lost:dunno

Chris I can't vision what you're referring to? You have any snappy photos of the location?

Bill, there looks to be two bolts that hold the bench seat to the frame on the right side. 1, in the front by the floor mat w/ a plastic cover on it. 2, the other is almost right below the lever that lets the back part of the seat fold down. There are 4 of these bolts that hold the seat to the frame. I can get to all of them accept this one, and it just so happens this is the loose one. When I hit a bump in the road it sounds as if the door is open..:confused:

Chris did you flip the top lever to slide the seating forward to access the rearward bolts?

on my crew cab i flip the seats up and use the box-end of
a combination ratchet-ing wrench to tighten the NUT that
holds the rear portion of the back seat down.

if the bottom of your seat doesnt flip up you may be able to get to
the seat from the back side of using the same combination, box-end
or open-end, ratcheting/gear wrench.
