I recently hit the rear of a 2003 silverado at 5-10mph. The cause was an accident ahead of me on a very busy college road. The result was a $1,339.00 check from the insurance company for repairs. Damage is to the stock grill, bumper, brackets and bumper valance. So i need some suggestions for replacement parts. I priced out factory 2000 parts for $875. All the aftermarket bumpers i like are about $1000 + shipping. How hard is it to convert to a 2006 bumper and grill? Any fabrication needed? And what parts are needed? Any help or suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks

At one time you could buy all of the 2006 parts off of e-pay for about $1000.00. There is a write up with lots of pictures on here somewhere of someone who did it.
Good Luck

On powerstrokeshop.com the kit costs $1325, is this a good price? Then it will cost another $85 to ship. Are there better places to buy from. I dont have alot of time to wait for ebay. Thanks for the help.

That looks like a good price and you are keeping your truck all Ford.
Better than buying from E-pay

The majority of the hardware is included in the kit. Some is reused from your existing front end. Some can also be found at your local auto parts. Its not too difficult.

Just give the power stroke shop a call and they can explain the kit. You do not need to get each piece individually.
