Ok,

I got the last Oil report for the last sample I sent in. I just can't remember how many idle hours were on that sample. At least 80 though. I am sending them another sample with only about 1500 miles of driving and around 120 hours of fast idle today. We'll see what that one says.

Im no expert but...ill chime in....since you asked.

the low viscosity & fuel are indicators of idleing...w/ only 3000
miles on this oil i would expect the viscosity to be higher on a low
milage oil.

its amazing these guys can be so spot on in their testing...they
KNOW the truck isnt getting hot enough (fuel in oil)...which should
tell you youre either idling too much or you need to get the thing hotter.

i see the BORON is pretty high compared to previous testings levels...
in fact its nearly double the unit averages.

Boron is used as an Antifreeze Inhibitor & Detergent Additive
and its used as an acid neutalizer, so the high level isnt
necessarily a bad thing & not knowing "oil" it may be THE indicator
that this oil could have RUN longer (even though the viscosity is
in the dumper)

i wonder what the boron level is in the UN-USED oil (just
as a comparison) since your level seems so high (compared to
previous samplings)
