They're trying hard to pass "Castle Domain" laws here in Michigan. At the moment, you can carry a concealed weapon, but you cannot use deadly force to repel an attack unless you're in iminent danger of loss of life.

Robbery, as a motive, is not "iminent danger" according to the AG.

Cap a guy breaking into your house, and you better be able to prove any weapons the perp had on him were intended to be used to physically harm you.

Wound a guy breaking into your house, all he has to say is "I was just gonna rob them" and you're looking at 20-to-life...

Better judged by 12 than carried by 6:guns:

Georgia has passed the "Castle" law, we've always had an unwritten version....."make sure the butthead fall's inside the door or at least carry them in part ways" :roflmao

Did you hear the one about the guy who called 911 because somebody was breaking into his shed? The dispatcher said the police were busy and couldn't come right then. He waited a few minutes and called 911 again to report that he had shot a burgler. All the cops came to his house, lights flashing and sirens wailing, and caught the burglar "red handed". The police said "I thought you said there was a shooting here!" The guy said "I thought you all were too busy to respond!"

I like what Ron White has to say about the Texas judicial system. Commit a violent crime that results in death, and you don't linger on Death Row. You go right to the front of the line. Some states are rethinking capital punishment, Texas has put in an express lane!:D

the "castle" law will allow you to shoot 'em as they
run or walk away too...let 'em steal the stuff...and shoot em
as they drive off....just make sure you kill 'em...dont want
anyone to testify against you.

"Dead men tell no lies."
And, if you think about it, a bullet costs pennies....a lawyer to defend your actions against a wounded criminal cost thousands (no offense Peter:D ).

We all work hard for our stuff. I do NOT understand, what makes another person feel entitled to it without having to work. It just tells me that our laws aren't strong enough, if they aren't deterring others from committing these kinds of crimes.:soap

Thanks for the vent!:sweet
