When it comes to washing and waxing one of these big suckers, just go ahead and pay someone to do it. I paid $150.00 three weeks ago to have my trailer done in San Antonio, TX. Well worth the price.

... we will tow the edge out back, I am still negotiating a tow bar set up

Are there any special things like a fluid pump for the trans or disconnectable axle shafts that you need for the Edge, or can you tow it without?

TG, from what he was reading in the Ford book, you just turn the key off and on a time or two and move the shifter. Sounds easy from what Robert said while I was down there.

So it's some sort of special "being towed" mode then? Some times it really strikes me as amusing some of the special procedures for changing this or resetting that.

Turn key on
open & close glove box 5 times in 15 seconds
turn wipers on slow intermittant setting
push cigarette lighter in
turn radio on
pull cigarette lighter out
turn radio off
stick arm out window and signal for right turn
turn key off
do three rounds of "Hokey Pokey"

Congratualtions, you have now sucessfully reset your trip odometer.:rolleyes:

Spot On Doug ;tu

I waxed the 5r ONCE. Had Arm & Shoulder pains for month :eek:.

150 is what I pay too, and the first time I had it done... I "Took Care Of" the 2 guys that do it.. with a bit extra. Now (?) when they come over (they come to where the RV is) our 5r looks Brand, Squeaky Clean New when they're done.

WELL worth the bucko's, IMO :sweet
