it stated good and i got the dreaded AV not up to date crap message.
i can see in my connectins i am connected to the internet but it will not load anything, once i got to here and tried to log in then i got the page not found and now MSN is even page nt found. I disconnected all my ethernat cables and truned off and rebooted and replugged in and its still AFU, the laptp and the wireless work perfect but the desktop refuses to play ball
any suggestions

Try this test...

start, run, type in "cmd", click OK.

Then type in "ping www.superdutydiesel.com"... and let us know what it says.

You might get this:

Pinging superdutydiesel.com [67.19.79.250] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 67.19.79.250: bytes=32 time=110ms TTL=48
Reply from 67.19.79.250: bytes=32 time=119ms TTL=48
Reply from 67.19.79.250: bytes=32 time=181ms TTL=48
Reply from 67.19.79.250: bytes=32 time=116ms TTL=48

Ping statistics for 67.19.79.250:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 110ms, Maximum = 181ms, Average = 131ms

But probably will get something that says:

"Ping request could not find host www.superdutydiesel.com. Please check the name and try again."

PS.. you can just type EXIT in the black window to get it to go away.

Try this...
start, run, type in "cmd", click OK.

then type: "ipconfig /all"

---------------
from your ping results above it appears that you
are connecting to the internet....so it makes me
thing youve dont some configuration issue with either
your browser or your AV (anti virus?) is firewall-ing you
some how.
