Got 2 Codes

I was leaving a friends and the temp gages starts going up feel the heater its not getting hotter so feel more releved and the gage keeps going up Fan is not kicking in so i kick it in N and shut it down and restarted it and it goes back to Normal and i reach back and get my Bully dog and pull the codes and get U0217 and U0438

Those codes are NOT in the Ford DVD for these trucks. No "U" codes and the numbers don't go with anything on the DVD either. Sorry.

U0217 is the "lost communication with door switch C" again, U0438 pulls up "undocumented trouble code description" on AE.

pull the codes and get U0217 and U0438

U0217 is: Lost Communication With "Door Switch C"
U0438 is: Invalid Data recieved from ....

I dont know, the list cut off at U0431!!! hahahahahaha, but they all seemed to follow that pattern.

U codes are network codes, gonna be common with the new CAN protocols.

I'd say bad connection or bad sensor somewhere on the CAN network bus.

I forgot about that thanks for the Remender on the U0217 Antonio. So U0438 is a goast code of some sort. Were is door switch C?

Probably in between Door Switch B and Door Switch D.

I only got 2 doors with sensors thoe. would that only be A and B
