you got a 6.0?

lay n grund under drivers door, slide your head under truck past frame rail and look at tranny cross member. nowo look at inside frame rail there it is a big oil filter looking contraption then about 3" in frnt of that there is a 7mm hex nut cap you unscrew and viola you get fueled

If you have a 4x4, it drains onto the front driveshaft. I have not drained mine yet since I have 3400 miles on the truck, but looks like Ford should have figured out a better place for the drain plug.

There is a drain but it is more like the flood gates of hell. You will get about 1/2 quart coming out when you get the plug out. If you have a brass plug, get a newer model steel one from Ford for about 12 bucks.

but when i unscrew this cap, it just drains exsese fuel in the filter. so when i take filter out no fuel should come out right, yeah i had about 2 quarts of fuel on floor, if i can minimize that it would be great... and i had alot on me too lol, guess ill try the drain.. i have some small buckets i can hold up there maybe

We all have looked at replacing it with a fumotovalve, but the threads do not work and the driveshaft is in the way. It would be s lot easier if someone came up with a way to use a fumotovalve.

ITP Diesel sells an HFCM drain plug for $19 that eliminates the 7mm hex issue. It is designed not to fall into the drain container...take a look at the picture cause I'm not describing it very well. But this doesn't address the 2 qt diesel bath issue.

Since my last FF change, I've seen guys who've made a rough funnel out of aluminum foil; get a bunch of it and form it under the rail filter down the rail and down into a bucket--almost like a water slide running from the filter down to the ground. I'm trying it next time.
