Check the sway bars like mentioned above, I've seen plenty of them loose and worn out with few miles on the truck. They hang kinda low and take abuse from stuff you drive over(stumps, rocks, roadkill, etc...). Hope this helps. The exhaust could be it, too.........:dunno

I have checked the ball joints and they seem to be well greased and solid. No play or slop. I didn't jack the truck up from the bumper so I really wasn't able to check the rubbers. Upon visual inspection I didn't notice anything but that doesn't say much. I wonder if the leafs would make that smacking noise. Little bumps on a paved road or anything makes it do it. Kind of annoying and I would hate to think its a "normal" noise.

mine does the same thing that you are saying. Everything seems tights and good. The truck just came back from getting a slow leaking tire fixed from Jensen. They did a 14 point inspection and ok'd the ball joints. I am all out of ideas.

try unhooking your front sway bar...if the noise goes away, i would say the sway bar bushing(where sway bar attatches to front diff)....my truck had same noise as yours...replaced the bushings and noise was gone(i know i said this before)...also i have been told, these bushings do wear out rather quickly, whether it be from off-roading or using the trucks in the fields(farming)....hope this helps...
