Question from auto to 6 speed

i have a friend thats got a wrecked 7.3 and ive been picking since he wrecked it :sly so now just wanting to swap trannys ... i lvoe my auto ... but to me doesnt have the nice cozzy warm feeling of a 6 speed ... all ways worried about it when i put the pedal down ... :watchout so just :stir in my head to see what kinda of job this really is ... i know it my be like a week end job and it shouldnt be that hard ...here my ?

does auto have the slave cyclender port for the clutch ... looked but not hard ... ?

and have a evoultion programmer ... if i swap trannys ...so i will have to get a new prgrammer ? .. or will it knwo the differance .. of a m/t comp over a auto comp ...

Transmission
Transfer case
Driveshafts
Clutch
Flywheel
Starter
Crossmember
Shifter lever
Clutch master/slave assembly
Clutch/brake pedal assembly
Transmission wiring harness
Steering column
Reflash PCM


That's just the quick list from the top of my head lots of other little things

If your buddy has the whole truck that you can pull whatever you need then you'll be ok and able to get everything that you need but it is very labor intensive but can be done.

As for your evo call edge and ask them, I do not think that they have different versions for the various types of transmissions.

Guy at work did it. He used his auto driveshaft, auto steering column, did nothing to the pcm but had to change the tranny tunnel. Also there is a spacer at the back of the block that must be removed to install the 6-speed.

well i understand there is alot of work to this now like i know ...how much is involved ... to this and thanks ... so now i think tha till be looking in to beefed up 4100r ... i guess ...but its just .... i dont knwo hwo much longer my trannys got and i dont want to pass up this swap if i have to .. i think that i am just going to take every tign that i need then keep it and ... then well .. well see what happens if not ill just sell it .. thanks guys ... for allt eh help and info ..
