Not intending on racing or going
to crazy but want to get some
hp without worrying about damaging
my truck. Still want exaust, air intake,
and chip or module. What's the right
way to go.

If you do any kind of chip your going to need gauges. The standerd gauges are pyro,boost and trans. Most of all have fun

With an exhaust and intake gauges are not really necessary unless you do alot of towing. With just about any tuner or module you should have gauges because it doesn't take very long for the egt's to climb when your hammer down. 1250 degree egt's can melt down a motor in seconds. The gauges will also help you detect transmission slippage by watching the operating temps.

thanks for the input as far as the towing
goes I don't do much towing but every once
in awhile I tow a 12ftbox with 4-wheelers
and camping equiptment
just need right chip or mod

Gauges are a must with a chip or programmer!

You will be happier with a chip from DP Tuner or Twildman. You can get programs from either one of those two from Beansdieselperformance.com. You'll have to call for the Twildman info.

If you don't have to have switch on the fly you can get a SCT with DP Tuner programs.

I like my MBRP exhaust.
