We went to pick up our truck from our RV dealer who was installing the 16k Reese hitch, and the salesman said that our 29rlbs Wildcat would be leaving the Oregon plant tomorrow and arriving at the dealership tomorrow afternoon. Their service manager says that it will take them until Friday to check out the coach and do the DPI. He scheduled my walk through on Friday.
I think we will "camp" at the house for a couple of days to check everything out. Then go on a short shake down cruise up to a local campground and stay a few more days before our long trip cross country. :)

Now is the time to pull out all of the list you have made over the past few weeks and get everything ready to start loading. There is nothing fun about all of the loading you have ahead of you.
First thing, stop at the truck stop on the way home and weight the truck & trailer. Then when you get ready to make your trip go by and weight it again.

On the road Again...

Dave:
Yes, we have been looking forward to seeing many of the states that we have never visited.
WD; Good idea about checking the weights before and after loading. One of the extras we ordered was 6000 lb. axles and 16 inch wheels for extra loading.

Bama; who knows we might be down your way, one of our destinations is Daytona Beach.

jvencius;

We will be taking our time, and it would be fun to visit as many SuperdutyDiesel.com people as we can, but we will be going on I90 to Yellowstone from South Dakota on our way back. Now if you want to meet in Buffalo, then great...We will need to take our laptop to keep in touch with everyone.

Congrats, I'm sure your getting excited to bring that new rig home! We go with my in-laws next Tuesday (pending a snowstorm) to pick up their new Regal 5'er. Heck, I'm excited and it isn't even mine! I've got 2-3 years till I can start shopping for one.

Best of luck with the new unit.:sweet

Yes we are getting excited about receiving the unit.
When we were in the service dept. a guy had a list of problems that he found on his maiden trip. This is with a new unit. It was not a Wildcat, but they say that all the new coaches have similar problems. He had a cut in the floor material, propane was leaking, A/C did not work, water leak in the shower, one window blind did not work.
Seems like the quality of workmanship has degraded significantly. Service rep. said that that is typical for most coaches.:eek: :eek:

Oh well....

This is true. The difference is most buyers are never aware of what in the way of post factory problems were discovered and fixed by the dealer prior to delivery.

Sounds like they are shooting straight with you. :sweet

I be more concerned if they said it didn't have any prolems at all.
