I have a 2003 f250 superduty cc 4x4 powerstroke w/ torqshift transmission - It has 37,700 miles on it and now when i start it up and drive it for 10 minutes the Check Gauges light comes on and the transmission temp gauge will jump all the way to Hot and the tow/haul light will blink on/off for about a minute, then the temp gauge goes back to normal, the tow/haul light quits flashing and the check gauges light goes out and everything is normal.Shifts fine, oil looks good. It has done this 2 times in the last 500 miles. Anyone else experience this before ?? Any info. would be appreciated ?? Thank you, Kju

KJU, I can't help you, but hope that you have some warrant left on the truck.
Just wanted to say Welcome to the SSD.com and I am sure someone will be along soon to help you out with your question, Again Welcome.

The blinking tow/haul light means there is a code that has been set. You will need to take it in and have Ford read the codes - OR - get/find a good code reader that will read our trucks. Not all readers will. Good Luck.

more than likely you will need a new tranny temp sensor. seen several 03s and 04s with the same issue.

First welcome to the site. Get yourself some good gauges. Boost, trans temp, and EGT. The factory trans temp gauge moves before the trans get to 100*. Keith
