F250 Super duty 6.0 cold engine miss?

I have A 2006 F250 6.0 when the engine is cold it spits and sputters until it warms up then it runs great i check the water level every day and no change always full changed the fuel filters no change need some help on this issue

Your oil to too thick. Try using 5W40 Synthetic, like Rotella T at Wal Mart for less than $20.00 per gallon. Cured my romps instantly and I never went back to regular oil.

you could have an injector(s) failing after cold soak period, if an injector is failing you might be able to notice a slight misfire when under heavy load during accel. your best bet for having something figured out is take it to a dealer late in the day and leave it overnite for them.

Change the oil first. It is easier AND cheaper. Then if it is still missing, look into injectors.

Here's what to do:

1. Change oil to 5-40 syn

2. Try Rev-X oil additive. Yes it really can help.

3. Find someone with a good scanner and diagnose injectors/ FICM/ etc.

4. After injectors and system are good, I recommend custom FICM/ PCM flash from Power Hungry Performance.

I had a slight miss and no power, then did the PHP FICM reflash. Now it some times misses heavy and starts billowing black smoke. Had never done that once before the reflash, did it immediately after.

I'm not saying the reflash caused the issue, but I think it exacerbated a injector issue.
