i was going down the road tonight and my truck made some loud noise and my rear end locked up and skided to a stop i broke the pinion in half and froze the whole rear end has this happened to any one else and do you think i will have a problem with warrenty with all the stuff i have done to it also if you look at the pinion you can see that there was a air bubble in it cause about 3/8th is smooth and you can see the wrest of it looks like twisted metal

Get rid of the edge w/attitude. Ford WILL deny warranty claims because of that.

the dealer couldnt make a decision on it or not to warrenty it and i bypassed them and contacted ford they sent out the ford field service engineer and i meet with with this afternoon he wouldnt even give me the time of day he said cause i have anything modified on my truck they void the warrenty he said "THIS TRUCK ISNT BUILT TO BE MODIFIED"
so he recomended since i have done anything to my truck to cancel all exteded warrenty coverages that i bought cause they are voided after you to anything to your truck. so good luck guys so if you now anyone that wants my chips let me know cause my truck is gone at the begining of the year. Ps he also said they voided a persons warranty cause the guys changed JUST the brand name of the tire and that caused he transmission to go out

Sounds like their trying to stick it to you man I wish you were here in texas my brother works for a dealer that covers vehicles with mods..... Try another dealer around you yet???
do you think i can cause i think once they look at it it goes into the system and any other dealer can see it and also the ford rep looked at it so what happens if another dealer tries to warrenty something that the rep already declined?

If it gets in Oasis, everyone will be able to look at your records and the details. If they tag it NO FORD DEALER will work on your truck under warranty.

time to get a lawyer, the "different tire brand" is a line of BS. They can dictate a size, but not a manufacturer. Whats next? you can only buy fuel from Shell?? they won't remove caprpet stains from pepsi but not coke??

i'd think if there was an air bubble in the casting you could get it solved under warranty. try to get another rep to look at it or go to a different dealer. but it sounds like the man is gonna stick it to ya'
