right agree on the cosmetics...but the engine is the same...in fact
i consider it a good THING that the 05 EX might not have gotten
the accountants version of a "better" HPOP connector.

FDDTS - 2005-2007 HPOP Connector Bracket TSB

i agree w/ stayin away from the 03, but the 04 has turned out to
be a COMPLETELY problem free truck <for me>.

Low miles for a 99 dually, but abit high(price wise) for the Ex unless that's a highly desired rig for that area:D :sweet

31k on a 2005 doesnt seem high to me.....its a 3yr old now...thats
only 10k a year ! (hell ive got a late 04 and ive got 65k on mine !)

nice that its PROBABLY STILL under the 3/36k warranty

certainly an oasis report is in order on the excursion

If this EX did have the leaf spring suspension (I know nothing about the EX's) it doesnt anymore. Its a set-up similar to the SD trucks.

4 link set-up, dual steering stabilizers. When I looked at it the other day, it was a very clean, well takin care of rig.

I started to drool and get wild ideas of trading in my wife's Expedition for it.

Then the thoughts of her driving it and wrecking it brought me back to reality.

Thats the tough part is their similarities to the SuperDuty but with more room and traction.:sweet

I'm waiting for the right 4x2 7.3L to come along:)

agreed the RED coils can be seen in the photos, someone
has spend some serious time & coin on the upgrade....its a
VERY clean unit !

no excursions were built <ever> w/ coil fronts.

99-04 SD's were leaf spring fronts (at least in 4x4 editions)
the 2005 excursion was a carry over from 99-04 versions....05
was the final year for the excursion <BUMMER>
