Engine dying(not cps) and lack of power..help!

I was making a 200 mile trip today and around about mile 150 I started to lose power, luckily I was able to safely get off the road but after a few seconds at idle the motor died. I let it sit for a minute then tried restarting and after an extended crank it finally did so I got back on the highway. Just after I got running again the Service Engine Soon light came on and stayed on but to top things off the engine completely loses power above 2K. Every once and a while it will run just like normal and accelerate but it's uncommon. I must tell ya I've been playing with the 10K mod as well as the 1K Clamp Mod over the past few days but I think I've got everything put back together how its suppose to be.
PLEASE HELP!

Sounds like you need to change the fuel filter to me.

Get the code read...CPS or UVCH.....

Check the ICP connector. If you have been sticking wires into the connector and then pulled it back out, you may have loosened the connection. Happened to me. If you have been splicing the 10k mod in, make sure the wires are not bent or broken.

I changed the fuel filter as well as checked and rechecked my connections. Also I reconnected a new 10K and still have the same issues.

Have you checked the under valve cover harness clips?.. these are usually the ones that come apart..The wiring inside can also be burned......

How do you know that it is not the CPS? Also, if the SES light is on, get a scanner and find out what code is set. That will be huge help.

I dont think its the CPS because I recently changed it and the engine only died the one time, now it's just a power loss. The SES light only comes on under extended acceleration but then goes back off.
