Electrical question

Can anyone tell me why my dome light quit working. All the instrument lights still work, and reading lights still work with the switch. The dome light, cargo light (on back of cab), and the lights on the running boards quit working a couple of weeks ago.

Try all four doors and see if its just one door that has the problem.

It doen't work on any of the doors or the dimmer switch.

Sounds like you blew a fuse.

I had similar issues last year. The fuse was LOOSE and would only make contact intermittently. So check the fuse first.

I checked the fuse schematic and find a fuse for the interior lights just a relay and I don't know how to check to see if it is ad.

You can buy a new relay (maybe $10) or jump it out if you know which contacts to jump. If you have power there and relay is good then its probably the GEM. You may also have a bad battery saver relay.

I believe there other relays that can be swapped to check that issue. I believe I tried that also.

How about the bulb it's self. Not to be smart or anything but it could be overlooked.

I find it highy improbable that all these bulbs burnt out simultaneously, but I suppose that it is possible.
