EGR valve and Anti-Freeze

Has any one heard of the EGR valve going bad and dumping Anti-freeze right into the exhaust????? I have an 04 F350 totally stock Crew cab 8' box. I have had all the sensors known to man replaced along with the EGR valve replaced once before. Engine harness replaced. Now they tell me the new EGR which is a year old had another problem with sticking open and dumping coolant right into the exhaust.
Another question I have, all the coolant that went through the cat, What has that done to the cat and muffler??? If there is a good diesel mech. out there that can answer these questions for me.
At least that is what the ford dealer has told me was wrong. I thought the EGR valve only had to do with Exhaust Gases and making the fuel burn more efficiently.

the egr valve doesnt control COOLANT...the controls the flow of exhaust.

the flow of exhaust is directed to the COOLER which has coolant
circulating "around" the exhaust to cool the exhaust.

if youve got coolant in the EXHAUST its because of an EGR COOLER
failure (reportedly some have cracked)...OR youve got a head gasket
issue.

That is what I thought. Can you tell me what effect this will have on the cat. down the road and the muffler?

couldnt tell you about the cat...i can tell you that you can REMOVE
the cat and replace it w/ a "test" pipe

the cat would be the LEAST of my worries.

Does any one have a cut away where this is mounted on the motor and can show me where it is and what happened when this failed and where the coolant went and what it could of damaged in the motor. Ford tells me that it did not damage anything in the motor. Of course they would tell you that. Just want to know for myself. I told them I wanted that in writing.

it's not going to hurt the cat, buy the time it gets to there it's steam, and the catalyst in there won't bother with the glycol...

But I agree with Bush, you're gonna have a lot more screwed up ahead of the cat if you have any appreciable amounts of fluid where air or oil belongs...

WHITE SMOKE is steam...as in coolant...and egr valve isnt gonna
cause white smoke...infact most who have had malfunctioning egr
valves have blown BLACK smoke.

sounds to me like youve got more serious issues...cracked egr cooler or
blow head gaskets...test your oil <for signs of coolant> and test
your coolant deGAS bottle for signs of combustion gases
