you gotta have the extended program...its worthless w/out it...so much
specific data accessible on the CAN <network> that OBDII makes no sense
anymore really.

So I took it in to ford and the tech said he didn't really want to take my money since it didn't have any signs that he could bill to warentee. He said he could scan it but with no light it would cost me $80 and most likely come back negative and he can't just go replacing parts. He said when he heard it it sounded fine (wasn't going quiet) but if it started to run rough, stall, or a light came on then to bring it back and he could do more investigate. I guess I will just live with it for now.

Cheers

jeff -

the light doesnt have to be ON to have a code...in fact ONLY the california
trucks will turn the light ON <for egr codes>.

Find another mechanic.

Hey,

Im going to see if I can find some one to scan it other then the ford dealer. I also noticed in my oasis that this had been done some time ego:

"EXAUST PRESSURE SENS REPLACING EBP PIGTAIL CH"
"ROAD TEST AS PER59B01"
"ROAD TEST AS PER RECALL"

Could that have something to do with this issue?

Cheers
Jeff
