Drunk hit my Peterbilt yesterday

My driver had the green light and was turning left when a drunk came flying thru at reported speeds of 80+

Nailed him right in front of the driver's front axle on the trailer.

The dude was driving a Honda Accord and totaled the crap out of it.

My driver got out and asked him, "What's your problem man?"

His reply was, "Just havin' a bad day." Needless to say, he was hauled off in hand cuffs.

The trailer held up very good considering the lick it took.

4 eye witness' gave their statements to the police, so it was nice that others saw it and were willing to stick around
and talk to the police.

No vehicles that were on the truck were damaged (thanks goodness) and Tommy my driver was not injured (even more thank goodness')

In my experience of working fatalities 80mph coming to a complete stop in a second is pretty much guaranteed a DOA

The smell of death you never forget.

BTW, the dude was poppin' anti-depresents when the cops showed up, tryin' to "hide" some evidence I guess.

Good to hear your driver is OK.

Too bad the drunk didn't end up in intensive care hooked up to I.V.'s and a catheter , it'd give him more "quaility time" to think about what he did than one night in jail would.

I know it sounds harsh, but I have zero sympathy for people who so callously put others in danger.
