Drought?

So ladies and gentlemen.......I went on my first ever boat trip yesterday and I must say it was awesome It was so much fun to just get out on the water and hang out, sit and relax, jump out if it got hot... One thing I noticed was that the water levels were down oh say 20-25 feet-mad I guess you dont really notice the effects of a drought until you get somewhere like a lake, or large river! We have been in a drought for about 4 years, and this last month (july) we have got 7 inches of rain! Looks like I will be enjoying alot more boat trips!

Just thought I would share my trip and see how many of you live in a dry climate and experience drought often?

Just thought I would share my trip and see how many of you live in a dry climate and experience drought often?

Here in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, we're waaaay too dry right now. Only received about half the normal rainfall for July '05 through July '06. Lake Lavon (near Wylie - to those who want to know) is now about 13 feet below normal. I've heard that if it goes down another 4 feet, additional water restrictions will have to be added. The heat is evaporating the water faster than consumer's usage (the lake provides water for lots of small towns/community systems in the area). The cracks in the black soil are getting pretty big.

I bet the people in AZ won't mind if you borrow some of their water. They've recently acquired a bunch.
