has anyone, removed the 2 piece shaft and had a custom one piece made?
can this be done? I am sure its possible, but would it work?
no issues with mine now, but seems to me, that it would be quieter and more efficient one piece?
any thoughts??

i suspect the problem has more to do w/ ANGLE and ground clearance
more than anything.

i 'spose but the amount of drive shaft thats exposed (using
a one piece) is gonna be greater...

hell if youre gonna change it out go carbon fiber replacement...

can i barrow the funds?
never heard of a carbon driveshaft?
the new dodge even 4 door long beds use a one piece aluminum
i dont off road, so clearance wont matter, unless it looks stupid, i dont think you would see it.
where can i look at carbon ones?
were you kidding?

no im not kidding...carbon fiber is the hot tip in racing & is a
great product for dropping weight & buidling strong products.

'course youre issue is that you truck weights close to 8000lbs !

and unless youre building a RACE truck its probably a stupid thing
to consider.

nope not racing it, was just wondering on a one piece shaft, my dodge 4 door long bed had a 2 piece and it made a lot of noise with the carrier bearing etc, one piece i like better. i saw the new dodge uses a one piece, I figure if they can do it i can do it,
where would i check into that?

Local drive line shop... many places ought to be able to hook you up. I almost did it in mine, and I might still.
