A few disclaimers: 1.) I am new to the forum. 2) My mechanical inclination is pretty poor, but improving. 3) I know jack sh*t about diesels.

I installed a DP Tuner chip yesterday. The install and instructions were very straight forward and clear. The chip appears to work straight out of the gate and I am impressed with the performance so far ( 0-no start, 1-stock, 2-80 economy, 3-Decel, 4-40 towing)

The Decel tune works better than expected, especially at higher RPM's, but the real test will be when I am on a grade with my toy hauler. The 80hp economy tune, wow!, really big difference.

Many offered advice on my welcome thread, all of which insisted that I purchase gauges ASAP, and I will heed this advice. I am going to spend some time researching my intake and exhaust options, hopefully finding a few that don't cost over $1500.

I am not going to ask a bunch of questions until I have spent several hours researching the above topics. If anyone has links or advice, please feel free to share.

Thanks.

Ah. cool, thanks. I guess when you crest a hill or mountain you can then flip that thing over from whatever you had selected to that decl spot and then that will just lock up the converter. I guess that could come in handy for some. not to many "hills" around here. just land fills here. so I haven't heard of anyone talking about it. ;tu
