I can't say for sure. He would have to look for the plug near the steering column. I do know the 1 I got with my truck had the directions for the 7.3. Keith

great info robert, i wasn't aware that you could do that. man, i wish they came out with the upfitters in '04

people have fitted the upfitters to the 04 trucks...ive seen photos of 'em...
you dont need the upfitter switches to use the aic features...but i wont
tell you that cause youll get pissed and think im picking on you.

I'm going to jump in here with my 2 bits.
The AIC was only available through 2004 model year,& yes,
the one for the 7.3 is the same as for the 6.0.
2005 through 2007 have blunt cut wires behind the dash for what Ford calls SEIC,[stationary elevated idle control]. The Ford Body Builder Advisory Service web site has the info[www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas].It's listed under the bulletins. It can be configured for battery charge protection, a set rpm using a resistor, or variable rpm using a potentiometer. Using a resistor or potentiometer the rpm can be set from 1200 to 2400 rpm.
The dealer here puts a resistor in all the trucks that are sold to the companies on the North Slope. They set them to run at 1800rpm as ford says that will keep them from slobbering when they're running all day long.
I have my 2006 set up with a potentiometer, so I can adjust the rpm.
Hope this helps. PM me if you can't get the info out of the web site.

steven take a look at this guys install -->

02 F250 with 05 lower dash panel and 05 upfitter switch kit installed

the problem w/ installing the nice looking upfitters is the wiring
harness...its designed to plug into a harness (behind the glove box)
which contains relays & fuses and ties into the cjb/fuse box.

w/out that harness (behind the glove box) youll be left to figure
out all the wiring & switches yourself...and youll likely have to
cut up the wiring attached to the upfitters.

the switches i have (in my links) are CARLING brand...got 'em from
a guy in alaska (think theres info in my photos)....not cheap but
nice looking and EXTREAMLY durable...i bet ive on/off'd the switch
to my valentine one & front driving lamps 100s of times w/out a
single issue (or sign of wear)
