I saw some CC fumes spilling out of my dipstick tube this am when I opened the hood -- nothing huge, and I checked to make sure the dipstick was securely seated (it was).
But after thinking about it I'm wondering if that's where the oil slick on the valve cover around where the dipstick tube is, must be coming from...oil vapors come out, some condense on the tube and run down onto the valve cover....??.
So - Is there an o-ring failed or other explanation for the crank case venting? I checked my CCV cannister and it was empty so I don't believe I have a plug up or anything and the amount of vapor is pretty minor but I've honestly never noticed it before...thoughts appreciated!
